Rob Stuebing lectured in universities in Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu (Sabah), Malaysia from 1974–1993, and served briefly as the Hon. Curator of Zoology at the Sabah Museum. Since then he has worked as a technical advisor in biodiversity conservation outside Protected Areas in Malaysian Borneo, Kalimantan and West Papua in Indonesia. Rob remains a Research Associate of Field Museum of Natural History, in Chicago.
