Dr. Nobuyuki Tanaka holds a PhD in Botany from the Tokyo Metropolitan University, and studied tropical botany at the National University of Singapore as a special student. Dr. Tanaka is currently a senior curator, Department of Botany, National Museum of Nature and Science (NMNS). He has been carrying out floristic inventory in Myanmar since the 2000s. He has carried out a new project “Biological inventory in SE Asia with special attention to Myanmar” as project leader initiated by NMNS since 2016. He has published more than 35 scientific papers on Myanmar plants. He compiled this book.
